VenueWatch

We are one of a handful of local village hall and community venues in and around the South Bucks area.

From time to time there are issues with hirers and whilst this is rare it can be costly, upsetting and dangerous for the volunteers who run these community hubs.

Since 2023, we run a VenueWatch list - also called a Banned Hirers List - which we document the named hirer and any organisation they represent and reason for concern. This could be due to outstanding debt, poor relations with our organisations or the community, unacceptable behaviour including antisocial behaviour or public order offences or criminal damage.

Upon request, we share and cross reference with local organisations to hopefully prevent incidents taking place at their venue by the same individuals. This also means we are aware of individuals or organisations that have acted in a unsafe or damaging manner elsewhere and therefore will not accept their booking here.

This information is not publically available but we proudly support, and work with, initiative such as Neighbourhood Watch, Smartville and SpeedWatch. It is similar to the successful 'pubwatch' scheme which does not infringe on human rights as we reserve the right to refuse admission or bookings at our discretion. It is inline with GDPR as the information held is relevant to prevention of crime and in the interests of safety at our venues.

If you have any questions regarding this, please read our Terms and Conditions of Hire alongside pages on our website such as the terms for our Car Park and our FAQs. If these pages and content do not address your query, please contact our Co-Chairs via [email protected]

The hall has a 24/7 alarm system plus an additional wifi alarm system which monitors all parts of the stage. There is CCTV covering all external parts of the hall and this is provided by the Iver Heath Junior School who administer the site on behalf of Buckinghamshire Council.
